Noodletools is found in your Google waffle (right hand corner) next to the Sora app.
Create a New Project
1. Under 'Projects' tab, select the GREEN box titled 'New Project'.
2. Enter a Project Title, select MLA Citation Style, and Junior Citation Level.
3. Click on 'Submit' to save your titled project!
Dashboard
After naming and saving your project, enter your research question and/or topic.
Sources
1. Select Create New Citation (green box)
2. Select the type of source - example: database, print, website
3. 'Quick Cite' can be used to copy and paste a citation from a source
Notecards
1. Select 'New'
2. Give your Notecard a title
3. Select source (after you enter your source, it should be found in the dropdown)
4. Copy and paste your quote from your source
5. Save and close
To cite Animal Farm as a source, follow these steps!
1.In Noodletools, click 'New Source'
2. Select 'Print or in hand'
3. Select book
4. A box will appear which will say Import.
5. For ISBN, enter the following number: 9780151010264, then click search.
6. Search results will show for Animal Farm.
7. Click on (it will highlight blue).
8. Click on 'Import Selected Source".
9. Screen will read Import From World Cat - enter FL (Florida)for State/Country.
10. Click continue.
11. Click Save (top right of the screen)
12. Animal Farm should come up as a source AFTER hitting the refresh button!

To cite Biography.com and History.com as a source, make sure BOTH Noodletools and Biography.com or History.com are open.
1.In Noodletools, click 'New Source'
2. Select website
3. Select web page
Go to your web page (History.com or Biography.com)
1. Find the citation information at the very bottom of the web page
2. Copy the URL from the web page, paste URL in Noodletools under URL
3. Find date of publication on the web page, use the drop down in Noodletools to enter the date.
4. In Noodletools, for Most Recent Date of Access, click 'today'.
Web Page
Contributors
1. On the web page, look to see if there an editor, author or translator.
2. Select which one is appropriate
3. Copy and paste the title of the article from the web page
Website
1. Copy and paste the name of the website from the citation information (Do NOT include words like 'the' or 'website')
2. Copy and paste publisher of the website
3. Click 'Save' on the top right of the screen in Noodletools.
To share your notecards with your teacher:
1. Go into Notecards (next to Sources)
2. Click 'Print'
3. Click on 'Export to Google Docs'
4. Make sure Option 1 is checked off (export all notecards)
5. Click 'Submit'
6. You will be redirected to Google.
7. In Google, click 'Share' to share with your teacher.
8. Enter your teacher's lawrence.org email address.
